As an Accountant, youll take ownership of a portfolio of small business clients, preparing bookkeeping records, VAT returns, year-end accounts, and corporation tax submissions. Working Hours Full-time (On-site), Monday to Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break) Key Duties Prepare bookkeeping records, VAT returns, and year-end accounts for a portfolio of small business clients. Process corporation tax returns accurately and efficiently. Work with various accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks (QBO), Sage, TaxCalc, VT, and Engager. Ensure compliance with UK accounting and tax regulations. Communicate effectively with clients to provide financial insights and support. Key Requirements AAT Level 4 qualification (or equivalent). A minimum of three years experience working in a UK accountancy practice within the last 10 years. Strong working knowledge of Xero, QBO, Sage, and other accounting software. Proficiency in Excel and Word. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
