About Us
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or aspiring Team Manager to join our successful and friendly Joint Environmental Health Service which delivers services across the semi-rural districts of both Bolsover and North East Derbyshire District Councils. We work flexibly across both districts and the Service has fully embraced hybrid and mobile working and is further investing in technology to support new ways of working.
About You
You will lead the team and, in doing so, bring experience and enthusiasm, set a good example in terms of conduct and behaviours whilst motivating, supervising and supporting staff. You will deal with appraisals, training, disciplinary issues, setting of targets and objectives and monitoring performance.
You will need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
The Team
As the manager of the Home Assistance Team, reporting to an Environmental Health Service Manager, you will lead and support a team of officers delivering support to our most vulnerable residents. This is a team providing a range of frontline services including the delivery of disabled facilities grants, affordable warmth and energy advice, advice and support on housing matters as well as the community outreach service, which provides support for maximising income and helping respond to the cost of living crisis. With a genuine Council wide ‘One Team’ culture, together we help shape and contribute to high-quality service delivery across Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.
