A Leading Energy and Infrastructure Consultancy requires an experienced Environmental Consultant/Manager with site experience to join a small, dynamic Environmental and Sustainability Team for a Global Infrastructure Business.
The position is home based with trips to work within the Clients' Management Team and on site when required/necessary. Travel and subsistence are part of the package. There are a number of site-based roles also.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Environmental Lead to ensure full environmental compliance on a legacy brownfield site, which will be redeveloped into a leading Global power generation facility; overseeing and ensuring that all site characterisation and other activities comply with environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
2. Identifying and documenting any potential environmental hazards or breaches of compliance.
3. Reviewing Contractor work plans to ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, standards and best practices.
4. Ensuring all site activities comply with local and National environmental laws and regulations.
5. Preparing detailed reports on environmental performance and incidents, and communicating findings to the Site Manager and Environmental Technical Lead.
6. Assisting in the preparation of environmental compliance documentation.
7. Providing guidance and advice to the site team(s) on environmental best practices and sustainability measures.
8. Recommending and implementing corrective actions to mitigate environmental impacts.
9. Maintaining accurate records of all environmental inspections, monitoring activities, and compliance reports.
10. Ensuring all environmental documentation is up to date and readily accessible.
11. Conducting training sessions for site personnel on environmental awareness and compliance.
12. Promoting a culture of environmental responsibility among all site workers.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience in an environmental role within the construction industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent relationship building and in-person communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Proficiency in using environmental monitoring equipment and software.
8. Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to various sites as needed.
