Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and hands-on Operations Lead to join our team in Coventry. This role is crucial in overseeing our operations, implementing processes, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. You'll be the linchpin connecting our operations with client happiness, driving efficiency, and fostering strong relationships. Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
* Oversee Fulfilment Operations: Ensure products are handled, stored, and shipped in line with client standards and customer requirements. (SOP & SLA)
* Implement Systems: Lead the implementation and maintenance of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to minimise errors and enhance efficiency.
* Inventory Control: Manage inventory processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
* Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams—operations, inventory management, and shipping—to ensure smooth service delivery.
Client Relationship Management
* Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the main liaison for clients, promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.
* Order Management: Ensure all orders are processed accurately and efficiently, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
* Client Onboarding: Assist in onboarding new clients, ensuring a seamless transition to our fulfilment services.
* Feedback & Improvement: Gather client feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
* Reporting: Prepare and distribute client-related reports, including order metrics and inventory summaries.
Strategic Growth & Expansion
* Collaborate with Founders: Work closely with the co-founders to develop and implement strategies for future growth and expansion into new markets.
* International Coordination: Travel to our other sites (UAE, Ireland, and soon Australia) as required to oversee operations and ensure consistency across locations.
* Business Development: Contribute to business development initiatives, leveraging operational insights to support strategic decisions.
Team Leadership
* Foster Positive Culture: Promote a positive work environment and a culture of continuous improvement.
* Lead by Example: Demonstrate a hands-on approach and willingness to dive into the trenches alongside your team.
* Mentorship: Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
Qualifications
* Experience: Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the e-commerce fulfilment or warehouse setting.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. However, we understand that education isn't everything—relevant experience is also highly valued and can be a strong asset.
* Skills:
o Strong understanding of inventory control processes and WMS (preferably Mintsoft).
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, switched-on approach.
o Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced, startup environment.
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
