Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Technician - Late Shift Immediate Start!

Our client is a national family-run organisation, who have been established and trading successfully for well over 30 years. They have built a strong brand and a regular customer base within their industry, and they are very successful at what they do. Due to growth and a team restructure, they are now looking to hire Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to join their Engineering Team. Interested? Keep reading.
Your Responsibilities as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
1. Carry out fault diagnosis and repair of Manual Handling Equipment.
2. Repair, maintain, and inspect all plant equipment, conveyors, and high-speed processing and material handling machines.
3. Ensure PPM servicing schedules are followed in accordance with company requirements.
4. Inspect and service all Plant & Production machinery and equipment in line with OEM minimum standards.
5. Carry out Plant safety inspections in line with group fleet policy.
6. Conduct daily duties in a safe working manner whilst adhering to (QHSE) obligations under the Health & Safety at work ACT 1974 and follow the code of safe working practice in the workplace.
7. Report any unsafe acts, hazards, or defective equipment to your safety advisor and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Level 2 qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
2. Experience with conveyors and high-speed processing machinery, belts, and motors.
3. Proven track record with diesel engines, gearboxes, braking systems, and generators.
4. Experience in pneumatic welding, hydraulics, and electrical motors.
5. Possess a personal basic engineering tool kit (spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.).
6. Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
7. A flexible approach and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
8. Proven track record with welding/fabrication.
9. Good communication skills.
Salary & Benefits:
Night Shift Pattern: Tue - Sat, 2.30pm-12am
Salary: £42k + OT
