Exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (prescriber).
We are a successful GP Surgery with a proven track record located in Westbourne, close to the beaches in the middle of Bournemouth and Poole with a patient list of over 21,000 patients.
We are looking to recruit a clinically strong and highly motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (prescriber) to join our fantastic multidisciplinary team consisting of advanced health professionals including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, MSK specialists, Advanced Paramedic Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates, HCAs, Pharmacy Technicians, dedicated Frailty Team, and Social Prescribers along with salaried GPs and Partners.
Furthermore, we provide rapid high-level administrative support to remove or delegate a large proportion of the non-clinical workload, allowing more time with patient contact.
The role will include seeing urgent/same-day appointments as part of the multidisciplinary Duty team, supported by a dedicated Duty GP. You will also be required to provide home visits and support care home visits when necessary.
We are looking for someone who enjoys providing person-centred care, is happy to work independently, and seeks advice when necessary. The successful candidate will receive ongoing mentorship and support.
This is a part-time position up to a maximum of 22.5 hours a week, and flexibility on working hours will be considered. Salary is negotiable and will be proportionate to the level of experience and responsibility. Salary is very competitive compared to the regional average.

Desired skills and Personal qualities:
* Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) (essential)
* 2+ years proven record of acting as a registered nurse.
* Independent/extended Nurse/Paramedic Prescribing qualification. As an independent prescriber, you will be responsible for safely prescribing medication to complement treatment plans for a range of medical conditions. (essential)
* Background of working in a fast-paced Primary Health Care or acute environments is essential.
* Experience in dealing with a wide range of minor ailments.
* Expected to practice autonomously, carrying out in-depth clinical assessment of patients, formulating clinical decisions and treatment plans within local guidelines/policy to manage multiple complex healthcare needs both acute and chronic.
* Ability to manage conflicting work priorities in a high-pressure environment.
* Excellent communication skills with ability to deal effectively with both patients and members of staff.
* Excellent IT skills, SystmOne knowledge desirable but not essential.
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Participate in the development of services and assists the implementation of change.
* Can do and positive attitude.
* Hold a valid UK Driver’s License (essential)
