We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated team at a Special School in Chigwell. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to support students in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students, both in group settings and one-to-one, to meet their individual learning needs.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, ensuring students are supported and encouraged to participate.
* Foster a safe and positive learning environment, promoting students' personal and academic development.
* Monitor and record student progress, sharing observations with teachers and parents as required.
* Help manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and ethos.
* Support the development of students' social and communication skills through structured activities.
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of learning resources and materials.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in working with children with special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, or communication challenges.
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in supporting teaching and learning.
* Familiarity with techniques such as visual aids, sensory integration, or behavioural support strategies.
* A positive and empathetic attitude with the ability to build rapport with students.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
