Job title: Operations Accountant
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Hours: 37.5 per week Monday to Friday

Are you passionate about managing financial performance and working on projects? Join the team in our central office, as Operations Accountant and you'll become a key member of the support team, enabling our parks to continue to deliver an unforgettable holiday experience.
This role will be responsible for preparing budgets, updating forecasts and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You'll work closely with the Chief Operations Officer and will be committed to continuous improvement within the business.

What will you do?
* Contribute to financial planning and analysis by preparation of annual budgets, updating forecasts, supporting with the cash-flow forecasting process and carrying out monthly financial reviews with park teams
* Provide financial data and insight to enable strategic decision making
* Ensure that costs and revenues are accounted for correctly, working with park teams
* Improve the accounting and reporting processes to better understand the financial performance of the business and the key drivers
* Take responsibility for balance sheet accounts, reconciling on a monthly basis
* Work with the Head of Finance to ensure accurately and timely reporting
* Coach and train non-finance managers on understanding financial information and the importance of cost allocation
* Assist the finance team in working with external suppliers and private equity owners
* Help with new park acquisition process
* Work closely with the Head of Finance on the development and control of the core accounting and operational management of Elite Parks, collaborating with Elite Dynamics and other software providers
* Help to manage information flow to our external stakeholders
* Identify potential efficiencies through the use of data, create and present solutions for improvement
* Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability
What are we looking for?
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel
* Qualified or qualified by experience accountant
* Possess strong analytical skills to interpret and present data to senior management
* Enthusiastic, proactive, persistent and committed to "getting the job done"
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Able to influence, adapt, challenge and implement change
* Balances quality standards with the need to meet deadlines
