A Sales Office Manager is required to lead a sales & estimating team within a Wolverhampton-based steel manufacturing business. The company has been operating for over 50 years and has several facilities across the Black Country. Over the years, the business has been holding steady, but in the last few years, turnover has doubled, generating the need for key hires to make improvements and bring the company into the 21st century with new systems, processes, and modern ways of working.
You will be joining the company at a pivotal time, providing structure and accountability within the Sales & Estimating team.
Reporting to the Sales & Estimating Director, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing a small team of 6 including Estimators and Administrators
2. Producing management reports and contributing in senior management meetings
3. Monitoring and managing the workflow from initial enquiry through to order stage
4. Identifying opportunities for improvement in the quote and order process
5. Ensuring timescales and deadlines are met
6. Ensuring effective structure is in place
7. Providing adhoc administrative support
Ideally, you will have the following skills & experience:
1. Leading a team within an engineering or manufacturing environment
2. Streamlining and implementing processes
3. Highly computer literate with excellent communication skills
On offer for this Sales Office Manager role:
1. An office-based role based near Wolverhampton
2. Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week (some flexibility for a reduction of these)
3. Parking available on-site
4. Pension, healthcare cash plan, etc.
You will be based on-site Monday - Friday, so you will be required to commute to their offices located outside of Wolverhampton.
