This is a guide to the work you will be required to undertake. It may be changed from time to time by the College to meet changing circumstances, in consultation with the post holder.
Conditions of Service
The appointment is subject to the Conditions of Service for Business Support Staff. All successful applicants will undergo checks including enhanced DBS, references (one from current or most recent employer), and qualification validation.
Salary
The salary range is from £22,074 to £22,865 per annum, with starting salary depending on qualifications and experience. Salary increases occur annually after probation.
Hours of Work
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Annual Leave
25 days plus 8 public holidays and 5 discretionary days. After 2 years, entitlement increases to 30 days. Consective leave beyond 3 weeks requires permission.
Pension Scheme
Occupational pension: Local Government Pension Scheme.
Probationary Period
6 months, with mandatory induction and training, including safeguarding, GDPR, and health & safety.
Additional Requirements
First aid and fire marshal duties may be required. References, qualification validation, and compliance with safeguarding policies are mandatory. Applicants must have or obtain a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths during employment.
Safeguarding & Online Checks
The College is committed to safeguarding. Successful candidates will undertake safeguarding training and online checks prior to employment. DBS checks are mandatory, with costs deducted from salary.
