Contract Quality Engineer
6-12 month contract with Temp to perm option.
Fantastic opportunity for a Quality Engineer looking to impact product robustness from the initial design stage through to ensuring ongoing optimization of existing products and processes within a leading mechanical design, development, and manufacturing organization.
Working across a key production cell in the business, as Quality Engineer, your role will be varied but will have an emphasis on Root Cause Corrective actions (RCCA) and ultimately driving forward product quality and continuous improvement both in design and manufacture.
Key accountabilities as Quality Engineer will include:
1. Working closely with the manufacturing operations team on both internal and customer-related issues.
2. Ensuring containment of any quality-related issues, actioning, and successfully resolving them.
3. Utilizing your strong problem-solving ability to support either customer or internally flagged investigations through the application of lean quality tools & techniques such as 8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, Pareto analysis, and similar.
4. Supporting quality continuous improvement activities focusing on removing waste and improving overall efficiency.
5. Supporting Zero Defect Initiative implementation (internal and supply chain).
6. Undertaking activities to improve process robustness including Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Parts Approval Process (PPAP), RCCA, Root Cause Corrective Action, and Manufacturing Process Review (MPR).
To succeed in this interesting Quality Engineering role you will need to be:
A qualified Quality Engineer (either HNC/D OR with a number of years proven quality experience in manufacture) with:
