Role Overview: The Security Supervisor will facilitate the smooth running of the front of house facility, ensuring all queries are dealt with promptly and to a satisfactory conclusion. They will also manage the on-site Security provision ensuring all positions are covered and compliance audits are completed. This role will be delivering key customer focused services to all building users and visitors. The highest degree of expertise in customer service and communication is required, to ensure all staff and visitors to the building are treated politely, professionally and efficiently, to ensure the best customer experience is consistently delivered in a knowledgeable and professional manner. What you'll do: Answering the switchboard in an efficient and professional manner, within a target of 5 rings Greeting visitors ensuring all names and details are logged and recorded in the visitor’s book on reception and notifying the appropriate member of staff. All visitors must have appointments and be accompanied at all times. To always project a professional and positive image to both internal and external customers. To ensure that security processes regarding the access of staff and visitors into the premises are adhered to. To manage car parking and advise members of staff or visitors if they have parked inappropriately. To assist with meeting room bookings. To oversee the buildings archive storage room and ensure it is kept tidy. To oversee the buildings archive log and liaise with departments to ensure archiving is carried out on a regular basis. To provide back-up administration support as and when required. Line manage and maintain the training, development, and succession plans for all members of their team, proactively driving their continuous development and ensuring the performance bar is continually raised. Ensure minimum manning levels are maintained to ensure operational delivery at all times. Provide knowledgeable and informed responses when dealing with customers. Be informed about the building and the surrounding area. Be prepared to answer security questions and deal with enquiries relating to the building, the visitor’s host and host organisation, the location of the meeting, the conference area and all other building related information and procedures. Ensure all visitors to the building are made aware of the evacuation procedure and the assembly point. Perform fire warden/DICO duties in the event of a building evacuation, to ensure the building is cleared in a swift and efficient manner. provide reassurance to staff throughout the process and assist in the reoccupation of the building once the all clear is given. Develop and maintain relationships with all client and ALB departments, particularly including FM representatives and receptionists. Assist the security officers in maintaining the security of the building and be alert to activity in the area. Assist in the provision of high visibility guarding in the reception area, and report anything suspicious to the Security Manager. Maintain visitor records to ensure accurate management information is available on request, including number of visitors to the building, department and host details. The role demands ability to multi- task and demonstrate flexibility in the approach to work. Be conversant with all statutory and EMCOR policies and procedures and ensure compliance at all times. To carry out all duties in accordance with the site Assignment Instructions (Al’s) Responsible for the daily supervision of the corporate team which includes the Corporate Security Officers. Display excellent situational awareness that is conducive to a high-end corporate environment. Responsible for managing HR processes as required within the security team. Plan for and provide escorts for VIP visitors, liaising with Security Managers. Be aware of protest and demonstration activity and supervise/escalate as appropriate. To be fully conversant with all SOPs, assignment instructions, post notes and client/EMCOR UK procedures. Quality assurance of incident reports before submission. May be required to work in a security control room (CCTV) as a controller. Display your SIA licence at all times whilst on duty. Submit reports as instructed by the Security Management Team. To positively participate in any staff welfare or development programmes and to actively engage in any mandatory training. Carry out any other reasonable request as required by the Client/Security Management Team.
