Get Golfing is a charity with a purpose to improve lives through golf, a mission to make its courses and clubhouses accessible to all, and a vision for its sites to be central to the communities it serves.

Role Purpose
You will be responsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of the golf course. It is your job to maintain a good playing surface and ensure the course offers a consistent challenge and an enjoyable experience to golfers.
There are four key areas on a golf course - tees, fairways, greens and areas of rough - each of which requires a different type of maintenance. You may also be responsible for the maintenance and planting of trees, shrubs and flower beds.
Responsibilities
1. Mowing turf using tractors, ride-on machines and specialist hand mowers
2. Treating turf to ensure consistent playing surfaces
3. Using environmentally friendly treatments to control weeds, fungal diseases and pests when instructed to do so by supervisors or management
4. Renovating and maintaining bunkers and other hazards such as water features
5. Removing early morning dew and debris from the greens
6. Repairing wear and tear caused by golfers and animals such as moles and rabbits
7. Responding to enquiries and dealing with any golfers in line with current responsibilities and management guidance
8. Attending to drainage problems
9. Applying irrigation
10. Cutting new holes on greens
11. Planting and pruning trees and shrubs as required
12. Operating and maintaining machinery and tools
General
1. You are required to maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers, colleagues and 3rd parties at all times and undertake all tasks as appropriate
2. Maintain all premises locations to a tidy and presentable standard at all times
The Role
1. Flexible contract at £12.21 per hour to change to full-time contract at £25k salary following a successful probation
2. Average of 40 hours a week, 6am-2pm
3. Weekends are 1 in 3 on a rota basis
Requirements
1. Qualified to Level 2 or working towards NVQ level 2 (Desirable but not essential)
2. Passionate, enthusiastic and highly motivated
3. Excellent communicator and strong team player
4. The ability to work in an efficient and effective manner
5. The ability to follow precise instruction
