About the Role
We are seeking a Head of Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) for the UK and Ireland. This senior leadership role is critical to ensuring broad patient access and reimbursement for a dynamic portfolio of innovative and mature medicines in oncology, neurosciences, and rare diseases.
In an increasingly challenging market access landscape, your strategic leadership will drive the development of robust and compelling access strategies and value propositions that meet payor needs. You will play a pivotal role in securing optimal access, pricing, and reimbursement for new and existing medicines.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering:
* Provide strategic counsel to cross-functional teams to support market access initiatives.
* Identify opportunities through planning, horizon scanning, and sound business proposals.
* Influence policies to benefit the organisation’s portfolio and pipeline.
* Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) and HTA Strategy:
* Develop and lead HTA submission dossiers for UK and Irish payors (e.g., NICE, SMC, HSE).
* Represent the organisation at public meetings and HTA appraisal committees.
* Commercial Access & Pricing Strategy:
* Develop optimal pricing strategies aligned with national and sub-national payor expectations.
* Support business units with tenders and ensure accurate interpretation of pricing structures.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
* Build relationships with payors, NHS bodies, and industry groups to drive business objectives.
* Collaborate with internal teams, patient advocacy groups, and other key stakeholders.
About You
Qualifications:
* Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualification in Health Economics is an advantage.
Experience & Skills:
* Extensive experience in market access, including HTA submissions for UK and Ireland.
* Proven leadership in strategic market access and stakeholder engagement.
* Strong understanding of oncology, rare diseases, or neurology.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
