As part of our ongoing implementation of a new HR delivery model in Danfoss, we are now seeking to add a Senior Payroll Professional to our HR Services Payroll team in the UK.
Reporting to our Payroll Manager for Northern Europe, this role will join a newly formed team within our shared services setup. The role would suit someone with the motivation and drive to play a leading part in the development of that team, ensuring successful delivery of payroll services for our UK operations. As part of a global organisation, this role will also afford you the opportunity to broaden your exposure and develop your experience beyond the UK, and as such would suit someone ambitious to further their knowledge and capabilities in the long-term.
The role can be based at either our Warwick or Havant manufacturing sites in the UK and may involve occasional travel as part of the role.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Payroll Professional will be responsible for delivering a timely and accurate service for Danfoss, ensuring that we remain compliant with all relevant laws and regulations. Specific duties will include, but not be limited to:
1. Payroll Processes: Process and review in a timely and accurate manner all aspects of payroll. Working with the Payroll Manager to design payroll processes, procedures and approaches for consistency, accuracy and compliance.
2. Compliance and Accuracy: Ensuring compliance with local labour laws and statutory regulations and maintaining accurate payroll records.
3. Employee Queries: Acting as a point of contact for employee questions about timesheets, pay slips, and other payroll-related matters.
4. Documentation: Defining our work processes and documenting our processes step-by-step.
5. Reconciliations: Regularly reviewing and updating payroll records to ensure accuracy.
6. Collaboration: Working with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and processes and working with outsourced providers where required.
To thrive in this role as a Senior Payroll Professional, we would expect you to demonstrate the following:
1. Relevant degree or similar supporting qualification in finance, accounting, human resources, or related field.
2. Demonstrable experience of working in a payroll function as Payroll Officer, Payroll Specialist, Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Manager, or similar related roles.
3. Detailed knowledge of compliance measures including relevant laws, regulations and requirements.
4. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
5. Strong attention to detail, and a drive towards quality and accuracy.
6. Ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders and team colleagues through good communication and collaboration.
