We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Associate Engineer depending on the experience & skillset of applicants who apply. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and management of Mechanical services for all construction projects across a variety of building works.
Main responsibilities:
1. Carry out the design and management of all types of mechanical services projects including producing budget estimates, drawings, detailed service specifications, tender documentation and undertaking full contract administration duties on mechanical led projects.
2. Promote the use of renewable technologies.
3. Deliver mechanical projects in full in accordance with clients brief and professional standards.
4. Supervise, direct and manage the Mechanical engineering team including team resource planning, management and monitoring of workload.
5. Input to office resource plan and monitoring of profile and loss on all projects to ensure that projects are run efficiently.
6. Prepare schemes, including use of CAD, produce budget costs, detailed specifications, analyse tenders and supervise installations.
7. Carry out the design and management of all types of mechanical services projects including producing budget estimates, drawings, detailed service specifications, tender documentation and undertaking full contract administration duties on mechanical led projects.
8. Deliver mechanical projects in full in accordance with clients brief and professional standards.
9. Act as the single point of contact on specific engineering issues across a range of clients.
10. Promote and manage the competitive, efficient and effective delivery of mechanical services installations and energy management services to clients.
11. Responsible for identifying new business opportunities.
12. Fee earning at 90%, and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
13. This role requires frequent travel to other offices and sites as required.
14. Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.

Candidate Requirements:
17. Professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers and working or prepared to work towards Chartered status
18. Extensive experience in a similar related role
19. HNC/HND in a Mechanical Engineering related discipline
20. Extensive experience in a similar related role
21. Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain
22. Familiar with construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos
