Hours: Bank
Salary: £12.40 per hour
Based at: Hafan Wen Inpatient Detox Unit, Wrexham Maelor Hospital
Covering: Tier 4 sites, if required
Role Purpose:
To work within the catering kitchen and provide all meals on a daily basis professionally, ensuring the highest standard of catering and adhering to strict dietary requirements. To work independently or in a team of approximately 2 kitchen staff.
Main Responsibilities:
Preparation, production, and cooking of food for patients (25) and staff in accordance with menu specifications and food safety guidelines.
In liaison with the Catering Manager, to assist with new innovative menus, matching customer dietary and nutritional requirements.
To maintain the highest standards of health, safety and hygiene in accordance with both Adferiad Policies & Procedures and with Statutory Requirements.
To identify and purchase food from suppliers in the catering manager’s absence ensuring food and stock rotation is maintained at cost effective levels.
Responsible for meeting patient’s needs and satisfaction, having an awareness of dietary requirements, underlying health conditions, and food allergies.
Preparation of buffets for meetings on an as required basis.
Ensuring all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area is carried out effectively and in line with legislation.
Flexible and positive approach to work as additional hours will be required as and when requested.
To maintain and complete all kitchen paperwork on a daily basis, following Better Food, Safer Business guidance.
