This has helped us to establish ourselves as a major player in our key areas of expertise, namely: • Design and manufacture of equipment for the food bi-products and renewable technologies • Processing bio-mass into energy • Renewable energy production The Role – Engineering Purchaser As our Engineering Purchaser you will be responsible for sourcing, procuring and managing the purchasing of materials, equipment and services needed for our engineering function and projects; ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness and efficiency to meet the requirements of the Company. Responsibilities • Utilise technical procurement skills to facilitate engineering works and projects, balancing quality, delivery and cost • Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulations and legal requirements • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on factors such as cost, quality and technical capabilities • Negotiate with suppliers/ contract whilst building strong relationships • Work effectively with different departments to understand planning, project needs and technical specifications – using technical expertise to assist in decision making • Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues • Management of the internal purchasing system and adhere to purchasing procedure • Working closely with the Stores Department for stock levels and goods inwards Essential Experience required for this role • Extensive experience in a technical procurement role • Possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and technical specifications, allowing informed purchasing decisions • Experience in supplier selection and development • Strong communication skills Salary Competitive within Industry Health & Wellbeing Programme Cash Plan Apply For This Job If you would like to apply for this position, please fill in the information below and submit it to us for consideration.
