Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Head of Transaction and Transparency Reporting to be based within the London office.
Main responsibilities within the Head of Transaction and Transparency Reporting position include:
* Oversee and maintain compliance with reporting regulations (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, Dodd-Frank), acting as the main contact for regulatory bodies.
* Develop and drive transaction reporting strategies to ensure timely, accurate reporting, aligned with company objectives and regulatory expectations.
* Oversee reporting operations, implementing process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
* Ensure data integrity through stringent validation and reconciliation processes, addressing discrepancies promptly.
* Partner with Trading, Operations, Compliance, and IT teams to align reporting workflows and support overall business objectives.
* Monitor and mitigate transaction reporting risks, investigating and addressing issues as they arise.
* Manage and develop the team providing guidance, training, and performance management to support a high-compliance culture.
* Chair of the relevant regulatory reporting governance meetings
Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across the firm.
* Deep understanding of transaction reporting regulations, with the ability to analyse Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS), interpret requirements and apply regulatory guidelines.
* Deep subject matter expertise of various MIFID II Transaction Reporting use cases, such as: Investment Firm, Venue, Matched Principal, etc.
* Experienced in engaging directly with multiple NCAs / Regulators.
* Understanding of the regulatory requirements of cross-border trading activity
* Experienced in the ownership of 3rd party service providers supporting the regulatory reporting landscape (APA, ARM, etc).
* Knowledge of transaction lifecycle, trading processes, and front-to-back financial operations.
* High attention to detail and strong analytical skills for identifying discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy.
* Proven leadership abilities, including team management, mentorship, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
* Ability to solve complex issues, and adapt processes to meet regulatory expectations.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with regulators, senior management, and cross-functional teams.
* Expertise in MiFID II, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, SFTR, and other transaction reporting regulations.
* Proven ability to analyse current and future regulatory requirements with the ability to implement into specific processes and systems.
