Digitisation Services Manager
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £48,250 - £60,000 ( depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)
Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application.
Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston.
Let us introduce the role
AWE is currently recruiting for a Digitisation Services Manager for the Information, Configuration & Knowledge Management team.
This role will ensure the tactical operational delivery of a range of services for the digitisation of paper based and other analogue records. It will drive forward the technical aspects of the entire Digitisation Programme across AWE sites and maintain a ‘scan on demand’ service for priority business requests. The ideal candidate will have a technical understanding of Digitisation and be able to develop a long-term Digitisation strategy. To be successful, you will need to have leadership skills to direct and guide the team and be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Accountabilities:
* To develop an agile digitisation strategy based on current resources, throughput and cost constraints
* Leading, managing and supporting the different digitisation services to meet the demands of the business and to align to the digitisation strategy
* Regular stakeholder engagement to identify the changing priorities or digitisation in support of AWE’s strategic goals
* Maintaining KPIs and reporting on the current and planned forecast of the digitisation of the records
* Translating information management and service strategies into operational delivery
* Leading, managing and supporting the delivery of information management services within the area of responsibility.
* Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
* Stakeholder management experience
* Task management experience
* Proven track record of delivering a service
* Experience of Digitisation Services
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:
* Information Management experience
* Previous involvement in writing and forming business strategies.
You’ll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
