Buyer / Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer
To join a manufacturer based in Andover.
The Buyer / Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer will help support purchasing strategies, supplier management, and supply chain improvement initiatives, as well as negotiate contracts and agreements with key suppliers.
The Buyer / Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer will have had some experience in buying / purchasing within a manufacturing / engineering environment.

Responsibilities:
1. You will contribute to the overall strategy for purchasing, supplier management and supply chain development.
2. You will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our purchasing processes.
3. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
4. Negotiate contracts and agreements.
5. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new ones.
6. Prepare daily and monthly reports.
7. Inventory control.
8. Analyse pricing trends and seek cost-effective solutions.
9. Reporting to the Engineering Manager.
10. Office based in Andover, Hampshire.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in buying / purchasing within an engineering / manufacturing environment. Had some experience as a Buyer / Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer or similar.
2. Commutable to Andover, Hampshire.
