About the team…
You will find the Highways and Transport division a supportive and inclusive environment where colleagues enjoy teamwork and problem solving. Whilst working with colleagues across the organisation, you will experience our shared values and goals that underpin our ‘One Council’ approach. As a key member of our team, you will receive strong support while having a significant impact on our work.
We support flexible working arrangements, though you will be expected to work within the borough a minimum of 4 days per week. The office is conveniently located with excellent travel connections and is situated near our vibrant, regenerated town centre.
Key responsibilities...
Conduct highway safety inspections in compliance with relevant codes of practice, legislative requirements and council maintenance policies, ensuring the council meets its statutory obligations for highway maintenance and public safety.
Investigating and responding to enquiries from members of the public and other sources in a timely manner.
React quickly and decisively to urgent works required to ensure our highway is safe for all users.
