Role summary:
To act as a first point of contact for colleagues, managers and other members of the People Team, providing high quality benefit guidance with a focus on excellent customer service and colleague experience. To provide meaningful data and analytics whilst optimising the use of the benefits platform to ensure that the business can attract, retain and motivate the best talent.
To contribute to our overall aims of:
* Building a people team recognised as a customer centric, strategic partner supporting growth through our championing and leading the development of a great, personalised colleague experience built on fit for purpose people processes.
* Always being evidence based, data driven, digital Be proactive in automating and streamlining processes.
* To be an advocate and role model for Mitsubishi Electric’s Founding and Guiding Principles and vital behaviours so that we help to create an organisation that delivers on our promises to our customers
Skills/Responsibilities:
* Responsible for providing an excellent and accurate service across a broad range of HR, compensation and benefit transactions.
* Act as first line support on benefit queries from managers, colleagues, benefit brokers and benefit providers.
* Responsible for the colleague Parental Leave cycle.
* Provide monthly assistance to the Payroll Specialist on compensation data entry and checks.
* Responsible for reconciling all benefit data to the Company’s payroll data on a monthly basis.
* Responsible for the extraction, accuracy and submission of all data to benefit providers, monthly, at renewal and ad hoc.
* Presenting Benefits offerings at New Colleague Induction and drop in sessions per wellbeing calendar/planned activities.
* Ensure adherence by the People Team and colleagues to the Company’s pension scheme rules and auto enrolment legislation processes.
* Working closely with the HR Business Partners, and the Reward, Systems & Analytics Team Leader to suggest and deliver improvement to the company’s benefits schemes and introductions of new benefits.
Experience:
* Educated to a NVQ/A-level with degree desirable.
* Minimum of two years’ relevant experience working in an HR team.
* Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of colleague benefits, including pension.
* Experience with job evaluation schemes and salary benchmarking (e.g. Hay (Korn Ferry), Mercer, Willis Towers Watson.
* Strong organisational skills and time management skills with attention to detail and committed high quality.
* Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, and adaptive in style to meet the needs of different colleagues, customers and providers.
* Up to date knowledge of UK legislation relevant to the role, e.g. Pensions, Maternity/Paternity/Shared Parental Leave, Sickness.
* Able to build strong relationships with line managers, colleagues and third-party vendors.
* Digitally savvy and computer literate – good working knowledge and experience of all Microsoft Office packages.
* Experience on Oracle Fusion, in particular the HR, Payroll and Benefits modules (preferred but not essential)
