The Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join a thriving and supportive department. This is a full-time permanent position commencing in September 2024, offering the chance to make a real difference in a dynamic learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging and stimulating Economics lessons for KS4 and KS5 students, fostering a love of the subject. Create and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum and the school's curriculum framework. Employ a range of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and maximize student potential. Effectively assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualised support. Collaborate with colleagues within the department to share best practices and continuously improve curriculum delivery. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Economics education and curriculum changes. Qualifications and Experience: A strong degree in Economics or a closely related discipline. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Economics. Proven experience of successfully teaching Economics at KS3, KS4 and/or KS5 level. A passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering a stimulating learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
