With a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Manager to join our client's team. The successful candidate will have a robust background in managing underground infrastructure, utilities, and roadworks projects while ensuring the highest standards of health and safety.
As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on large infrastructure projects, including highways, utilities, and deep excavation works. Your experience with RAMS, planning, and health and safety will ensure that projects run smoothly and safely. You will also be directly reporting to the Project Manager and ensuring the timely, efficient, and compliant completion of all site-related activities.
Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Conduct daily site observations and trench inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) for each phase of the project.
Oversee large infrastructure projects, including utilities, streetworks, 278 works, highways, and roadworks.
Collaborate with the Project Manager and report on project progress, risks, and issues.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and any potential risks are mitigated.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification (essential).
Black CSCS Card (essential).
NVQ Level 6 or 7 in Construction Management or equivalent (essential).
NEBOSH, IOSH).
Strong experience in underground infrastructure projects, including utilities, streetworks, and 278 works.
Extensive experience in managing highways, roadworks, and deep excavation works.
Strong knowledge of RAMS, risk assessments, and method statements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and other software tools for planning, reporting, and documentation.
Proven ability to plan, organise, and execute complex projects.
Experience overseeing multiple sites simultaneously and reporting on progress to senior management.
