Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Location: North West England, Lancashire, Burnley Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.50 - £13.50 Per hour Job Duties: Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities Assist in the implementation of individual education plans Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored learning activities Help students develop their social and life skills Monitor and track student progress and behaviour Required Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience working with children or young adults Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Education: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience: Prior experience working with children or young adults is preferred Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities Ability to provide individualised support to students Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organisational skills and ability to multitask Preferred Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools First Aid certification Working Conditions: This role involves working in an educational setting with students who have learning difficulties or disabilities. The work may be physically and emotionally demanding at times. The role may also require occasional evening or weekend work for school events or meetings.
