Operating since 1995, undertaking Aerosol Contract Filling for customers, we have been based on Gateway in Crewe since 1999, and the site has grown in size and market presence. In 2017, the business was acquired by the Instarmac group plc, a privately owned manufacturing business, who are an award-winning Times top 100 business supplying products to the Highway maintenance, Tiling, Commercial flooring, and External hard landscaping markets to most continents across the world.

Duties
Some of the key responsibilities for this role will include:
1. Ensure Accurate Supply: Maintain sufficient levels of components to meet production needs and place orders for production and other departments.
2. Order Placement: Handle the ordering of production materials and ad-hoc items as required by the company.
3. Supplier Management: Communicate with suppliers to obtain delivery status of orders and ensure timely fulfilment as well as ensuring effective quality standards, scoring, and auditing against QMS, which may include UK and international travel. Challenge, improve, and develop a long-term vision of the supplier portfolio strategy.
4. Negotiation & Continuous Improvement: Negotiate to obtain the best prices for purchased products and actively seek opportunities for trade, value, seasonality, and continuous demand improvement.
5. Production Planning Assistance: Assist with production planning and schedule required delivery timescales.
6. Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Team to align purchases with sales and marketing strategies & respond to product and brand priorities as requested by the sales team.
7. MRP System Use: Fulfill requirements through the MRP purchasing system.
8. Marketing Support: Collaborate with the Marketing & Merchandising team to procure retail fixtures, POS, POP materials, and marketing services to support the Sales and Marketing strategy.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
2. Strong negotiation skills and ability to obtain the best prices for products.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficiency in using MRP purchasing systems.
5. Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing.
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Willingness to travel for supplier management and auditing purposes.
8. Experience in supplier and contractor management, including quality standards and auditing.
