We are also looking for a Team Leader to join this team. Our client currently resides in Blundellsands area of Crosby with his partner and two children, and he receives 24-hour care.\n\nMeet our client:\n\nI am a 44-year-old male.
I have a severe brain injury following an RTA as such my behaviour can sometimes be unpredictable, especially around new people as I can be anxious until I get to know you properly. Once I am familiar with people, I have a great sense of humour and enjoy having banta' and like to wind people up and play pranks on them with the help of my young son. \n\nI have two children a son who has autism and ADHD and a daughter, they are everything to me, and are my main motivation for my rehabilitation programme.\n\nI like playing board games, going out on trips to the zoo, bowling, amusement arcades, for walks down the beach and also walking my pet dog.
I also used to be a Chef' prior to my brain injury and with your support I cannot wait to start cooking and baking again. I enjoy baking with my children, I tell them to hurry up so I can eat what we have created (I am not very patient).\n\nI love listening to music, I'm a big Pink Floyd' fan and other artists I like are the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Phil Collins, Dire Straits, Paul Weller and Santana. My stereo system is my pride and joy.
I like going to music concerts and I will dance in my chair I will grab your hand and make you dance also. I enjoy watching comedy shows one of my favourites on Netflix is shameless and I like watching live football on the TV especially my favourite team Liverpool Football Club.\n\n**Please note we are recruiting Male and Female Support Workers and a Team leader due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support therefore this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9\n\nWhat you will be working:\n\n36 hour per week on a rolling rota, 7 days per week: \n\nDay Shifts: 8.00am - 8.00pm\n\nWake Night Shifts: 8.00pm - 8.00am\n\nSleep Night Shifts: 10:00 pm - 7:00 am\n\n£16.00 per hour weekdays/ waking nights (Sleep rate 11pm 8am Mon-Thurs £109.89), £18.00 per hour weekend days/waking nights (Sleep rate 11pm 8am Fri-Sun £119.89) \n\nCar Driver with full UK driving License is essential and not provisional.\n\nPlease note we do not accept candidates who have only provisional driving licence.\n\nWhat you will be doing:\n\nPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities\n\nTo establish and maintain a trusting, therapeutic, working relationship with client, family & Case Manager\n\nTo support the client in line with the Care Plan guidance \n\nTo promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the workplace\n\nTo promote effective communication with all parties.\n\nTo contribute to the protection of individuals from abuse.\n\nTo liaise with other agencies when required.\n\nTo complete daily records as advised including time sheets, daily records, care plan summary and critical incidents, petty cash etc\n\nTo attend supervision, team meetings and other meetings with the employer and other persons as nominated by the employer.\n\nTo attend training sessions as arranged.\n\nTo support the client with all activities of daily living, maintaining independence and household chores. \n\nTo support the client with accessing health appointments, and medication administration\n\nTo support the client to attend and participate in a range of community activities.
\n\nTo carry out therapy sessions as advised by treating professionals. \n\nGeneral\n\nObserve and operate at all times in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.\n\nProvide a flexible working pattern, to ensure the smooth operation of service, including working out of core hours, weekends and public holidays.\n\nTo undertake any other duties appropriate and as reasonably required, to meet the changing needs of the service.\n\nEnsuring service user needs and business objectives are met.\n\nWhat you will have:\n\nPerson Specification:\n\nHave some experience of brain injury and/or neurological conditions and working in a community setting. \n\nExperience of working with clients with complex needs and/or challenging behaviours is desirable but not essential.\n\nAbility to work as part of a team and as an individual.
\n\nSelf-confidence and be able to manage challenging situations.\n\nExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.\n\nStrong organisational, time management and planning skills, with a commitment to self-management and continuous personal development.\n\nIT literate.
