KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Support the Visitor Services Supervisor with the recruitment, induction, development, and management of all visitor services employees and volunteers to ensure they understand and can fulfill their roles to the required standards, while feeling valued, respected, and supported.
2. Instil a Health & Safety culture across the property, ensuring the team works within the property's Risk Assessments to reduce the risk of incidents and accidents to volunteers, employees, and visitors.
3. Support the day-to-day financial administration at the property, including cash/till reconciliation, day-end and week-end reports, and reporting of working hours for payroll. Provide holiday and sickness absence cover for completion of banking processes and financial reporting.
4. Assist with the planning and delivery of the events and functions strategy with the support of the Visitor Service Manager.
5. Create a culture of ‘exceptional service, every time’, ensuring high standards of delivery and a consistently warm welcome within the various departments.
6. Drive the visitor services experience to achieve financial targets, maximizing income and profitability, using the Trust’s procedures and instructions. Strive for efficiency and ensure cost-effectiveness in all work performed.
7. Ensure the cornerstones of the National Trust for Scotland are achieved at all times, namely conservation, access, and memorable visitor experiences for all guests.
8. Maintain high standards of presentation at all times, understanding and helping to deliver your overall property's business plan, including delegated tasks within other departments.
9. Support with the opening and closing, security of buildings, emergency procedure implementation, duty management, and providing relief cover as required.
10. Ensure that the property meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental legislations and procedures, including Waste Disposal and Allergens.
