Job Description –PCB & DACS Test Engineer An exciting new position for an Electronics Engineer to work within an ESD Laboratory Testing and Assembling both new and legacy data acquisition controller board assemblies and modules within an established and successful Test equipment Technology company. Background: My client designs and manufacture test products & systems for propulsion, power train, vehicle, and component test systems at their modern facility in Worcester. The company was founded in 1983 and is undergoing a period of growth and change. My client supplies systems ranging from control and data logging systems for an existing test cells through to a new test cell complete with dynamometer, cooling systems, measurement equipment including integrated cell support infrastructure and independent safety protection solutions. Department: PCB Test – Reporting to Service Manager Personal Characteristics & Skills: Ability to plan and organise (self & others). Technically minded with a solution-driven work ethic. Able to communicate between departments to problem solve and assist Research and Development requirements. Technical Skills Required: Able to read electronics drawings. Knowledge of I/O systems Practical experience with Analogue and Digital Electronics Testing individual PCB’s on receipt from the supplier and placing into stock Assembling DACS modules called for on works orders Testing and configuring the DACS modules called for on works orders PC Literate with understanding of Microsoft Office applications Able to write and maintain technical documents relating to my clients products Experience with Electronic Fault Finding Ability to use electronics test equipment such as a DVM, Oscilloscope and a process calibrator. Knowledge of QA reporting procedures and ability to use and maintain test records Able to create and maintain precise and thorough build and test procedures Experience with soldering and surface mount technology is expected.
