In-House Legal Specialist Opportunity with a leading organisation.
We are looking for an experienced In-House Legal Specialist to join a well-established, privately owned business. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your expertise in consumer law and work directly with the board of directors and management team, providing legal guidance across a wide range of business matters.
As part of a dynamic, successful and rapidly growing organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with relevant consumer and financial laws, including FCA OR FOS regulations, and managing consumer legal challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal counsel to the management team on all aspects of consumer law.
2. Handle and manage litigation claims, from initiation through to resolution, ensuring accurate documentation.
3. Negotiate with lenders, external parties, and regulatory bodies to resolve consumer issues, ensuring compliance with FCA regulations.
4. Coordinate responses to complaints and disputes, particularly in relation to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).
5. Offer legal insights and proactive solutions to customer queries, escalating issues as necessary.
6. Conduct training for the team to enhance legal knowledge and compliance.
7. Maintain strong relationships with external legal service providers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal support.
