Our mission is change lives through travel and we do that through our Cares programmes that runs alongside our not-for-profit partner, the Planeterra Foundation to ensure that the communities we visit benefit from tourism.
Business Development Executive
Location: Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
Working Hours: Full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week 09:00 am-17:15 pm Monday to Friday with 45 minute lunch break. This role will conisist of 2 days in our offices in Market Harborough and 3 days on the road. This will vary depending on schedueles and time of year.
Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Head of Trade Sales UK this roles primary focus is to work with new and existing trade partners to identify and drive new sales opportunities to achieve the business goals. This role will be responsible for raising awareness for both our Travelsphere and Just You brands at industry events, meetings and conferences. This role will also be responsible for managing customer group bookings.
In this role you will:
Identify and evaluate potential sales leads through networking, store visits and group events.
Communicate effectively to foster relationships with new and existing partners.
Plan and execute store visits to help generate brand awareness.
Build a deep understanding of our products and present them effectively to clients.
Be responsible for managing trade group enquires from initial enquiry though to booking.
Manage group bookings including the use of internal booking systems.
Manage relationships around the business to ensure group enquiries are effectively dealt with.
Highlight KSP’s to agents through trainings and events.
Respond promptly to any issues that directly affect sales.
Manage groups within the team and actively look to grow this sector through events and trainings.
Represent the company at industry events, meetings and conferences.
Track and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Achieve monthly sales targets with demonstrable key performance indicators (KPIs).
Present monthly and quarterly sales reports to HOS and Trade Director.
Attend Weekly/Monthly team calls for update and activity.
Develop a considered targeted call cycle that focuses on high revenue and high potential stores and develop detailed call plans in conjunction with the Key Account Managers, with face-to-face contact with targeted stores when needed.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 2+ years of experience in sales or business development roles.
Have excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Be able to build and maintain relationships with agents and the wider team.
Be able to adapt to the company’s culture effectively and lead other teams.
Be a team player who can work also work independently.
Be proficient working with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
Have familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools (like Salesforce or Hubspot).
Have a full clean UK driving licence.
Be flexible to work across different locations.
Be able to work collaboratively with other teams and good leadership skills to manage, motivate and lead the team to achieve desired outcomes.
Have a valid passport and willingness to travel for client meetings and conferences.
Be driven by targets and have a passion for travel.
