We're looking for a dynamic, go-getter Claims Specialist - Medical Malpractice to join our growing team in Leeds. Join our fast-paced, diverse London Markets Claims team within Core Claims! Your new role
You'll be the driving force in investigating and resolving claims quickly and efficiently, while handling a diverse international portfolio across the UK, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Dubai. Main responsibilities:
* Ensure that messages, advice, and correspondence, are responded to pro-actively and within agreed timeframes to provide a professional service to brokers and clients.
* Ensure adherence to SLAs and authority limits while managing claims.
* Identify and investigate coverage issues to ensure that the company's liability is in line with its contractual commitments.
* Reserve accurately to ensure that the Company's liability is always clear.
* Proactively manage estimates and billings calculated by client's service providers and brokers resolving any discrepancies.
* Manage disputed Claims and other material Claims issues in order to resolve and settle claims on an economic basis.
* Support the implementation of the Claims strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets.
About you
In this role, you'll need experience in handling Medical Malpractice, Healthcare, Product Liability, or Life Sciences claims-whether from a claimant or defendant background, or within the Healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have great negotiation skills, the ability to build lasting relationships, and a drive for success.
Other skills you'll need:
* Ability to make balanced and impartial judgements.
* Current knowledge of compliance, regulatory and statutory requirements.
* Organisational, investigative, analytical and presentation skills.
* Coaching and mentoring skills.
* Able to use MS Office applications and strong IT skills.
