As a Project Engineer, you will be supporting the delivery of production vehicle projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective component delivery, managing supply chain activities, tracking project progress, and assisting with risk assessment and key project meetings.
Key Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Production Planning & Change Control Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the project plan for current production vehicles, liaising with engineering, purchasing, logistics, and quality to ensure the delivery requirements of vehicle components are met timely and within budget.
* Supporting the Senior Project Engineer in the delivery of the project plan and establishing scheduling, action plans, and tracking.
* Planning, monitoring, and executing project activities to guarantee project delivery in line with targets and deliverables.
* Coordinating and providing direction on the supply chain in association with various departments to ensure delivery of components to support validation and implementation timing.
* Aiding in project performance and risk assessment reporting.
* Carrying out other duties that may reasonably be requested of you.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience in automotive, aerospace, FMCG, or manufacturing environments.
* Experience delivering projects within multiple sectors is an advantage.
* Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
* High level of competence with Microsoft Excel and analytical tools.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive team player able to successfully cope with tight deadlines whilst ensuring quality of performance.
