Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust
We wish to recruit an Assistant Psychologist for our North Cumbria Specialist Children and Young People's services within our ADHD neurodevelopmental pathway.
Under the guidance of a Clinical Psychologist, you will work with young people, their families, and their wider support network. You will work within an established multidisciplinary team supporting psychological assessments, evidence-based treatments, audits, research, and service development.
Main Duties of the Job
The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideal for gaining experience in the assessment of neurodevelopmental differences, specifically ADHD. Key aspects of the role will include supporting the process of assessment, formulation, and intervention with individuals who require specialist support beyond universal and targeted services. This may include individual or group-based work alongside the multidisciplinary team, as well as supporting multidisciplinary staff with their psychological understanding of children and young people and assisting in psychological assessments and interventions.
The successful candidates will work under the direct supervision of a Clinical Psychologist and will receive regular management and clinical supervision.
