APS Produce specialises in the production and supply of top-quality tomatoes and other fresh produce.
We are looking for Seasonal Glasshouse Operatives at our Tees Valley Nursery in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees. Working in our Glasshouse, your role would be to support the growth and harvest of commercial horticultural crops.
Main duties include:
-Crop work including training of plants, shoot removal and crop thinning.
-Harvesting/Picking to correct specifications.
-Turnaround activities including chopping down of old plants, removal from the glasshouse and setting up ready for new plants.
-Planting new crops.
Skills and experience required:
-basic numeric skills
-good attention to detail
-positive work ethic
-good time keeping.
-previous experience working in a Glasshouse
These are full time positions of 39 hours per week.
