We are looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join our client’s dynamic wealth management team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting financial advisers by conducting research, preparing suitability reports, and ensuring compliance with FCA regulations. Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct in-depth research and analysis on financial products, investment strategies, and tax planning solutions.
2. Prepare suitability reports and financial recommendations in line with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
3. Assist financial advisers with client file preparation, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
4. Perform cash flow modelling and investment risk assessments using financial planning software.
5. Ensure all advice meets FCA compliance standards, including Consumer Duty and PROD regulations.
6. Liaise with clients, product providers, and internal teams to gather necessary information.
7. Keep up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and professional qualifications.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII or LIBF) – essential.
2. Certificate in Paraplanning (CII) or Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA) – preferred.
3. Working towards Chartered Financial Planner status (Level 6) – desirable.
4. Strong understanding of FCA compliance, tax planning, pensions, investments, and protection products.
Experience:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a paraplanning, technical support, or financial administration role.
2. Experience with high-net-worth (HNW) clients and complex financial planning cases – preferred.
3. Familiarity with financial planning software such as CashCalc, Voyant, Truth, or Intelligent Office (Intelliflo).
4. Strong knowledge of investment products, tax wrappers (ISAs, SIPPs, trusts), pensions, and estate planning.
