They can deliver consistently high quality, accurate and considered creative work, on time and often under time pressure. They are also trusted to manage stakeholder relationships from project to project, including taking and interrogating briefs, recommending solutions, taking on board, processing and cascading feedback, and presenting creative work. As an integral part of the studio team, the Senior Designer (Motion Graphics Specialist) will work across a broad range of creative projects but is also the team’s motion graphics specialist, maintaining a specific focus on handling animation and video briefs. These will primarily concern animation and motion graphics but may also include simple video editing briefs as required. Specific responsibilities connected to the motion graphics specialism include the development of processes and assets to help drive greater efficiency in the animation production process. They will also, where required, be the creative bridge between the studio team and any external video agencies. Act as a brand champion of our brand guidelines at all times Responsible for the development and maintenance of our ‘video brand guidelines’ and ensure that they are adhered to Ensuring all the work you are responsible for and that you see is correct and compliant Able to thoroughly interrogate a brief, ask challenging questions and help scope out a solution exceeding stakeholder expectations Responsible for conceptualising, creating and delivering a high quality level of outputs across all formats and/or channels The ability to draw on other designers to assist and develop your concepts through to finished artwork Think strategically as well as being a hands-on creative Brainstorming, developing and bringing to life key campaigns and projects Take ownership of projects, managing key milestones with stakeholders Collaborate with our external video agencies to ensure video style, branding and assets are consistent with what we produce Responsible for seeing video projects through from start to finish, adhering to brand guidelines and design best practice at all times Responsible for the development and maintenance of animation and video templates to be used across the business Able to see things from the customer/client’s perspective Demonstrate creative flair, present great concepts with the ability to articulate the rationale behind creative solutions Helping drive the creative culture and standards across the studio team Act as the motion graphics specialist within the company as a resource for colleagues with less experience to offer guidance, training and support Skills & Experience: Proven experience in working in a fast-paced environment Commercial experience in producing creative design solutions that hit the brief Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience Highly skilled in using Adobe After Effects, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator and Microsoft PowerPoint Experience in creation of animation and motion graphics Experience in stakeholder management and working with a diverse marketing function Ability to articulate, present and pitch a creative rationale Knowledge of print processes advantage Knowledge of video editing advantage Willing to invest in own personal development to ensure knowledge and skills are current Keeping up to date with the latest graphic design and animation trends STRICTLY NO AGENCIES PLEASE We work with a carefully selected set of recruitment agencies and we're not looking to add to our PSL.
