Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative with a strong background in logistics, aggregate, supply chain, or related fields. This role is perfect for someone with 1-2 years of sales experience looking to leverage their industry knowledge to drive business growth. The successful candidate will focus on cold outreach to generate new business, foster relationships, and drive sales growth within the logistics and aggregate sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage in cold calling, emailing, and networking to generate new sales opportunities within the logistics, aggregate, or supply chain industries.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with current and potential clients, with a focus on customer retention and long-term partnerships.
* Understand customer needs in the logistics, aggregate, and supply chain sectors and provide tailored solutions that meet their business requirements.
* Effectively handle objections and negotiate terms to close deals.
* Prepare and submit sales contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
* Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure, aiming to secure an upfront OTE of up to £2,500 per contract.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and seamless service delivery.
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to provide informed, strategic sales advice.
* Track and report sales activities, pipeline status, and results to meet and exceed sales targets.
Requirements
* 1-2 years of experience in a sales role within logistics, aggregate, supply chain, or a related industry.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions.
* Strong negotiation skills with a focus on closing deals and achieving win-win outcomes.
* In-depth understanding of client needs in the logistics, aggregate, or supply chain sectors and the ability to build lasting relationships based on trust and exceptional service.
* Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.
* Proven ability to conduct cold outreach and effectively build rapport with prospective clients.
* Good understanding of market research to identify industry trends, target customers, and inform sales strategies.
* Availability to attend the office once a week for team meetings and collaboration.
