Devon Partnership NHS Trust is dedicated to providing outstanding care to our patients. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ePMA Nurse to join our innovative and supportive healthcare team.
As an ePMA Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and management of our Electronic Prescription and Medicines Administration (ePMA) system, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in the administration of medication across the hospital. You will work closely with the clinical and IT teams to support the use of the ePMA system.
You will provide guidance and training to staff, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the seamless integration of the system into daily clinical workflows.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work across the project teams and clinical teams, ensuring system upgrades or new application implementations are planned and executed safely and effectively.
They will have considerable autonomy to organise their own workload and act on their own initiative to deliver the delegated project aims and timelines.
Duties will involve:
* Work closely with Trust wide nurse groups and pharmacists and act as a liaison between the Trusts nurses and the ePMA team.
* Work as a nursing expert within the ePMA team, encouraging knowledge sharing across that team.
* Lead, mentor and motivate nursing staff in relation to ePMA delivery.
* Maintain a working knowledge of systems in use within the Trust, providing guidance to staff as required and lead in the resolution of complex issues.
* Lead on the development, implementation, establishment and review of performance management systems within the ePMA Team, collaboratively with other leads across Digital.
* Engage with patient/client groups where required.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the treatment and care delivered to patients/clients and ensure that the ePMA system meets these needs.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that all risks are identified and included as appropriate on the organisational risk register and are progressed appropriately to reduce the risk profile.

Experience
* Experience of working in a large organisation with a wide range of staffing levels.
* Experience of working in a Mental Health in-patient setting.
* Experience of working with and training a range of staffing groups including clinicians, nursing and managers.
* Experience of working and liaising with Third Party Suppliers.
* Leadership on NHS service projects/programmes.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
* NMC registrant.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Diploma or technical qualification related to role.
Knowledge & Skills
* Understanding of Information Governance, Digital Security and confidentiality.
* Ability to work across organisational and professional boundaries.
* Understanding of the Strategic aims and priorities of the Trust.
* A continued knowledge of recent initiatives in electronic medicines management systems.
* Knowledge of relevant nurse standards of practice.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal, able to communicate complex and sensitive information and use persuasion, influence and negotiation skills.
