You will study a Degree Apprenticeship in Chartered Surveying to achieve a BSc (Hons) degree. This will take around 5 years to complete and you will attend our university partner for your studies in blocks. You will work 40 hours per week in a hybrid pattern with time spent in the office, making occasional site visits and working from home. During your apprenticeship You will learn from our current Quantity Surveyors in our Commercial Team learning all aspects of the role and then applying your knowledge to our live projects to support the Commercial team in carrying out normal commercial and contractual duties. You will learn to assist the operational teams as required, comply with Avove values, and in ensure maximum recovery of contractual entitlement. What your day could look like Learning to support the Commercial Team to ensure compliance with Avove systems, processes and procedures on contracts. Developing the skills to financially monitor and report on the contracts assigned. Understanding how to assist and establish suitable construction contracts with clients to suit procurement needs. Learning how to prepare accurate financial statements for the contracts assigned. Learning how to carry out proper administration of the contract requirements including all variations (changes) to the works. Helping with commercial completion of the contracts including maintaining records for use in supporting claims, extensions of time, and evaluation of variations. Developing the ability to manage the appointment and ongoing management of subcontractors including payment applications, final accounts etc. Learning how to submit invoices and/or applications of payment to clients. Learning how to assist in producing information for PQQs and Tenders. About you You will need the following to be eligible for this apprenticeship: Minimum of 5x GCSEs including Maths and English at a grade 4 or above. Level 3 qualifications such as: 3x A Levels A T Level Qualification A BTEC Qualification This apprenticeship is a September 2025 start and open all who have the right qualifications, so if you are still finishing your school/college studies you welcome you to apply for this role with your predicated grades. Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence would be desirable. If you are currently learning to drive, we may be able to support financially towards this, dependent on meeting our criteria. This apprenticeship would particularly suit someone who has good digital skills and can use Microsoft office. We would also like you to be able to show you have good written skills and can talk to others well. You will need to be super organised and have a good attention to detail. Being able to work in a team but also independently is important. Having skills and an enjoyment in working with data and financial tasks would also be useful. For this apprenticeship, you need to be absolutely committed to becoming a Quantity Surveyor and studying for your degree you must be sure this is the career for you and have spent time researching it and be studying/have studied the right qualifications.
