Reeson Education is actively seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with Autism in an ASC provision within a primary school. This role involves working with a mixed class of Year 3 and Year 4 students, providing essential behavioural support to help them thrive in their educational environment.
Role Highlights:
1. Autism Support: As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with Autism, focusing on their behavioural development.
2. ASC Provision: Work within a specialised ASC provision, dedicated to supporting primary-aged pupils with tailored behavioural strategies.
3. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a structured and positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Provide one-on-one or small group behavioural support to children with Autism.
5. Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised behavioural plans.
6. Foster a positive and structured classroom environment.
7. Monitor and document student behaviour, adapting strategies as needed.
Requirements:
8. Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor working with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is essential.
9. A valid DBS check is required, or a willingness to process one through Reeson Education.
10. Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
