Catering Assistant. Longridge Hall Care Home £11.49 per hour 27.5 hours per week, 3 shifts per week Shifts: 8:30am – 5:30pm Do you love working in a kitchen and want to be part of a team that makes a real difference? At Longridge Hall Care Home, we’re looking for a Catering Assistant to help deliver nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. Our care home is a welcoming community with unique features like a reminiscence lounge, chapel, and indoor sensory garden. Under the leadership of our long-standing Care Home Manager, Tracey, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive and enriching environment for both residents and staff. Your Role As a Catering Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our kitchen team, helping to prepare delicious meals and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with meal preparation, cooking, and serving food Keeping the kitchen and storage areas clean, organised, and safe Washing up and maintaining hygiene standards Helping with food prep tasks like chopping, peeling, and portioning Receiving and storing deliveries, checking stock, and reducing waste Keeping kitchen records up to date (e.g., temperature checks, cleaning schedules) Engaging with residents in a warm, friendly manner during mealtimes Sandstone employees enjoy a range of benefits: Free uniform.
