Pro4orm People Ltd have partnered with a leading pharmaceutical company in the search of a Medical Science Liaison. Our client is driven by innovation and improving the health and quality of life for patients.
We are looking to speak to people with experience as an MSL working for a pharmaceutical company. The role will be the bridge between the clinical and commercial worlds, providing medical and scientific support for our clients on-market products and aiding in the launch of new ones.
This is a part time field-based role working 2 – 3 days a week across the North of England.
Key Responsibilities:
* As the MSL you will be responsible for staying current on therapy advances, product development plans, competitor developments and trials.
* You will share this knowledge within the Medical Affairs therapy team, maintain an open dialogue with the medical lead and office-based Medical Information & Patient Safety colleagues.
* lead the development of local clinical summaries for key relevant clinical papers. You will also need to stay up-to-date on ABPI Code changes and incorporate them into your ways of working.
* Build a strong working relationship with internal and external customers associated with Medical Affairs and Medical Information.
* Maintain and contribute toward process improvement which positively impacts metrics associated with activities of the Medical affairs and medical information team; metrics are subject to change annually or more often as deemed necessary.
Requirements:
* Previous MSL experience
* Clinical, scientific or life sciences background
* Cross-functional and collaborative approach
* Launch experience
* Understanding of local health economy and interaction with patient pathways
* Understanding of clinical pathways design and delivery, common barriers to optimal care and how to navigate
* Business acumen/entrepreneurship; seek out opportunities and new ways of working
* Understanding of evidence-based medicine and its application into clinical practice
* Understanding of ABPI Code of Practice and its practical application
Desirable Skills/Experience:
* Knowledge of relevant therapy areas
* Experience in the development of clinical trial programmes in support of the therapy area portfolio an advantage
* Experience of account management
* Knowledge experience of real-world data projects
