As a Registered Manager of this 5 bed Ofsted rated GOOD home you will:
1. Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
2. Develop a great team: Working with the recruitment teams support, bring in the right people for your home.
3. Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
4. Allocate Key Workers: Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan.
5. Maintain High Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with the quality standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
6. Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns.
7. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
8. Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
9. Embrace a safe culture: Ensure the children in your service are cared for at the best possible standard.
Essential Requirements and Experience
1. Relevant Experience: At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
2. Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months of employment.
3. Knowledge: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
4. Skills: Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership.
5. Communication: Confidence in effective spoken and written communication.
6. Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
7. Driving License: Full UK required.
