Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading power company to recruit an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Technician for its site biomass power station near Scunthorpe.
The EC&I Technician role comes with a salary of £44,000 + benefits package including private medical insurance.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will:
Carrying out fault diagnosis, repairs, planned and unplanned maintenance activities on all EC&I assets to maximise plant availability including pressure, level, temperature and flow sensors and control systems (DCS, PLCs) and electrical equipment.
Assisting during major maintenance periods, shutdowns, outages etc. when required to ensure maximum plant availability and efficiency.
Working alongside other technicians in the maintenance team in diagnosing faults and assisting/suggesting equipment upgrades
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
Supervising and directing on site contractors when required
Working within the company health, safety and environmental processes and procedures at all times.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Time-served apprenticeship with Level 3 qualification in relevant engineering discipline.
A HNC would be desirable.
At least 3 years' experience working in a heavy industrial site
Has a strong Controls and Instrumentation knowledge, ideally with an instrumentation bias
Ideally have a formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
Personal skills
The EC&I Technician role would suit someone who has:
Ability to work well alone or in a team
Is results focused and can deliver accurate results on time.
Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
