Conveyancing Solicitor Job Type: Full-time Location: Bedfordshire (Commutable from Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard, Milton Keynes, Luton and Bedford, Salary: Competitive Reed Legal are recruiting for a Conveyancing Solicitor with 4 years PQE. This role involves managing a full caseload of conveyancing files under the supervision of the team leader, ensuring efficient and effective legal service delivery. Day-to-day of the role: Manage a full caseload of conveyancing files including sales, purchases, and transfers of equity. Draft and review legal documents such as contract packs for sales and TR1 for transfers of equity. Handle all pre-completion and post-completion matters including registration formalities and liaising with lenders as necessary. Maintain regular communication with clients and all parties connected to each file through phone, email, or face-to-face interactions. Assist other fee earners with processing files, including undertaking specific tasks and projects as required. Ensure compliance with the firm’s procedures, policies, and office manual, including employment, anti-money laundering, IT use, health and safety, and client care. Perform additional tasks as reasonably required by the business. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong IT skills, proficient in using emails, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Iris. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and unsupervised. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Confident in dealing with a diverse range of people via telephone, email, or face-to-face. Ability to work under pressure in a busy office environment and prioritise among competing tasks. Required Experience: Minimum of four years’ experience in a conveyancing department, including significant client contact and managing own caseload. Comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in buying, selling property, and transfers of equity. Experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with case management systems.
