This progressive, respected and expanding special purpose machinery manufacturer seeks an experienced multi-skilled Field Service Engineer based in the Midlands / North Notts or surrounding areas.
Ideally experienced as a time-served Engineer, although not necessary, we seek either field service experience OR those who are looking to step out into a Field Service position from a site-based role.
Knowledge and experience of working on special purpose machinery is paramount. Experience with PLC's and CNC machinery is an advantage; non-CNC machinery experience is also sought. Fanuc controls or Siemens experience is beneficial; however, it is not a deal breaker as we are not looking for a programmer.
We will consider a variety of machinery experience, including:
1. Packaging machinery
2. Manufacturing machinery
3. Injection moulding machinery
4. Woodworking machinery
5. Cutting machinery
6. Edge banders
7. Beamsaws
8. Production machinery
9. Conveyors
10. Similar production or capital equipment
You will be competent electrically and mechanically, ideally electrically biased although not essential, and have technical qualifications to support your experience to date such as City & Guilds / NVQ / GNVQ / ONC / HND etc.
You will visit interesting and varied environments conducting planned service and maintenance of this manufacturer's special purpose machinery. In addition to servicing, you will also be involved with reactive repair work and commissioning of new machines as required.
Offering a competitive remuneration package with excellent overtime paid, Engineers will typically earn £45k-£50K with overtime paid door to door!
We seek a confident engineer who will represent the business well in front of their loyal existing and new customer base. Engineers highly called for will have direct experience working as a CNC Technician; however, serious consideration will be given to those who have worked on any special purpose machinery, either with or without CNC driven controls. We are not asking you to programme them, but you should have worked on the service and maintenance of machinery with excellent fault-finding skills.
To reiterate, any candidates with no direct CNC machinery maintenance experience may still be considered as long as you are a competent Engineer!
This position offers an immediate start for the right person and an exciting career ahead for someone who likes variety and has the ambition to work directly with a machinery manufacturer. Candidates applying must offer flexibility in terms of staying away, as this is an imperative requirement of the role, where full expenses are covered to accommodate this and overtime is paid door to door.
If you have the above experience or similar and want to work for an incredible machine manufacturer who invests well in their people, with a first-class support system and enviable reputation in their sector, then we want to hear from you! Please send an updated copy of your CV ASAP for immediate consideration!
Should this position not be for you, but you know someone who might be interested, then please forward them this Ad.
