Role Overview: Manage and enhance The Business's Cloud infrastructure, focusing on Azure Cloud platform. Ensure Cloud services evolve with business needs and deliver value. Oversee Azure-based Cloud services, support legacy-to-cloud transitions, and champion cloud adoption.
Hybrid Cloud Manager Position - Up to £85,000 + Bens - 2 Year FTC = Mainly Remote - Lake District
Main Responsibilities:
1. Cloud Platform Team Delivery:
2. Ensure effective Cloud Platform Team operations.
3. Monitor and respond to service events.
4. Resolve incidents promptly.
5. Engage in proactive problem management.
6. Respond to service requests swiftly.
7. Manage change & release activities per policy.
8. Model Cloud Engineering Standards.
9. Cloud Operations, Financial & Performance Management:
10. Oversee Cloud infrastructure operations.
11. Manage service activities: availability, security, performance, capacity, continuity, risk.
12. Develop operational best practices.
13. Handle budget setting, forecasting, and cost monitoring.
14. Cloud Product Ownership & Strategy:
15. Advocate Cloud technologies.
16. Manage Cloud product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
17. Drive Cloud service development and delivery.
18. Collaborate with stakeholders for business-aligned Cloud infrastructure.
19. Plan seamless migrations to the Cloud.
20. Ways of Working:
21. Promote collaboration with IT Service Delivery.
22. Support DevOps culture and automation.
23. Foster relationships with Information Security and Architecture teams.
24. Governance & Risk Management:
25. Lead risk management activities.
26. Maintain Cloud risks and controls register.
27. Manage suppliers/ vendors regarding the Azure Cloud Platform.
28. Ensure quality of Cloud deliverables and support documents.
29. Team Leadership & Line Management:
30. Manage and coach Platform and Cloud Operations Engineers.
31. Develop colleagues' tech skills.
32. Ensure adequate staffing and skills for optimal Cloud Platform operation.
Financial Responsibilities:
33. Oversee cloud platform and staffing costs/ budgeting/ forecasting.
Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications:
34. Proficient in Azure Services and Architecture.
35. Experience with Azure Cloud Platform & Infrastructure.
36. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/ CD pipelines.
37. Skilled in on-premise and hybrid infrastructure.
38. Experience migrating to Azure.
39. Leadership in a DevOps team.
40. Financial Management.
41. Familiarity with ITIL v4 and agile methodologies.
42. Awareness of cloud technology advances.
