We are a non-clinical 7 day respite service for those in mental health crisis. We are in partnershipwith Kent and Medway Partnership Trust NHS. We deal with Low and Medium risk individuals. We receive referrals from local liasion Psychiatry Teams and Approved Mental Health Professionals service. Service Users can stay with us for to seven days and in this time receive 24 hour support and engage in both therapeutic and non-therapeautic activities.A day in this role looks like….As a Recovery Workerat Hestia, you will play a crucial role in ourKent and Medway Recovery House. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:Support service users from referral to Recovery House admission, ensuring needs are met and collaborating with clinical teams for smooth transitions.Provide activities and interventions to reduce crises, develop safety plans, and help users manage mental health without emergency services.Conduct one-on-one sessions to create Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), set goals, and build support networks.Offer life skills support and coordinate with statutory and voluntary agencies involved in user care.Participate in professional development, supervision, and reflective practice to address mental health challenges.Work with the team to promote the service and maintain high standards, including post-admission support and room upkeep.Co-produce service delivery with users, engaging in peer-led activities and consultations on policies.Maintain accurate records, collaborate with other providers, and report defects for repair.Follow Health & Safety protocols and adhere to relevant policies and legislation.Why Hestia?Joining Hestia means more than just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger.
